You do have a Talent for illustrating or painting a conceptual and pictorial description in the mind of a recipient with the written word.

Just as you did in the explanation of "not being particularity special."

I think that is special.

So, first off, being someone who rarely holds back in public, and for specific reasons I will reveal here... this was masterfully written.

IMO, you are right, but there is, again IMHO ONLY,... an "and".

I have come to believe that "special" is in the eye of the beholder, and cannot be labeled by our own hand.

What you wrote, and the realizations as to where we should focus, again, to me, is the key.

My talent is people.

Yes, I can draw. Yes, I can write. But I look at myself and say I don't completely SUCK at those things. I'm not special.

So what?

.. if projects turn out well, I believe it happens because I'm focused on someone else. Not to impress them, but to SHOW them that they are special... that, as you hear me say every week... you are MORE than you THINK you are.

Just like as parents, we cannot validate ourselves, we cannot label ourselves 'special'.

My focus is to help others been seen, be valued, in a world that constantly tells then they don't matter.

... because it's a lie.

Beautiful article.
